Anne Frank House

The Anne Frank House is a poignant reminder of the horrors of the Holocaust. This historic house was the hiding place of Anne Frank and her family during World War II. Visitors can enter the narrow secret annex, which was cleverly concealed behind a revolving bookcase, and experience the personal space where Anne kept her diary. The museum offers a deeply moving experience, providing insight into the life of a young girl during one of history's darkest times.

Anne Frank and her family stayed in the Secret Annex for more than two years, with support from neighbors and helpers who provided food and news from outside. Tragically, on August 4, 1944, their hiding place was betrayed, leading to their deportation to concentration camps. Only Otto Frank survived the war.

Although the original furniture is no longer present, the rooms retain the atmosphere of the hiding period, featuring quotes from Anne's diary, photographs, film footage, and original items belonging to Anne and the helpers. The famous checked diary and other personal writings of Anne Frank are displayed here.

Please note that the museum is not accessible for visitors with limited mobility due to the narrow, steep staircase and building layout.

The Anne Frank House is open daily from 9:00 to 22:00. Tickets must be purchased online in advance with a specific time slot. Tickets are released two months ahead and on the same day via www.annefrank.org, with high demand during holidays and weekends. We recommend planning your visit and booking your tickets early.
